Baa baa Emily the black sheep

sproutcommunityart

This lovely dark (zwartble breed) fleece was lost in the post for 2 weeks - but is now safe in Sprout and being processed and spun into wool now…

The fleece comes from a sheep called Emily, she’s 12 years old from Little Tahall Farm in Galloway, supplied by Alyson Corkish who tells us that Emily was a bottle-fed lamb and halter trained. She is a real personality and had some lambs last year even though she was supposed to be retired from breeding - but she'd sneaked in with the tup when they weren't looking!

The farm is part of The Galloway and Ayeshire Biosphere and they were delighted to donate the fleece to us! @ScotBiosphere
